--> Walter Donaldson ( 1907 - 1973 ) was a Scottish professional Snooker player. He turned professional aged just 16, in 1923 . He contested many world championships, finally achieving victory in 1947 after Joe Davis had retired from the tournament, and again in 1950 . His break of 142 in 1946 was a world record at the time. Upon his retirement, he is said to have broken up his snooker table and used the slate to make crazy paving. |
