The ''Jakobselva'' River winds its way down through a lush birch wood valley, on its way to the Varanger Fjord . The river is known to be a superb sport fishing river, with a lot of big Salmon . Vestre Jakobselv is home to the 3rd division soccer club, I.L. Polarstjernen . HISTORY The area is located in the heart of the historic Cwenland , i.e. the land of the Finnic Cwens , area where the Finnic Samis are indigenous as well. |
