State Route 134, also known as the Ventura Freeway , runs from U.S. Route 101 / California State Route 170 in North Hollywood to Interstate 210 in Pasadena . The road is the main connector from the San Fernando Valley and points north to the San Gabriel Valley and points east. The interchange with '''I-210''' in Pasadena is an incomplete one, as the CA-710 freeway that heads south dead-ends at California Blvd. Residents of South Pasadena and Alhambra have blocked efforts to extend Interstate 710 north from its current end at Valley Boulevard north of Interstate 10 . Signs on '''CA-134''' and '''I-210''' refer to the '''CA-710''' stub as ''TO CA-110 '', because exiting left on California Blvd and turning right on Arroyo Parkway will take you directly to '''CA-110''', which is Pasadena's only direct freeway link to Downtown Los Angeles . The Interstate 5 offramp at Colorado St. is actually old CA-134, and there are still mileposts that refer to it as such. Old CA-134 followed Colorado St. through Glendale and rejoined the present-day alignment in Eagle Rock via a long onramp. This part of CA-134 was called the '''Colorado Freeway'''.
