Information About

Starfleet Command

STARFLEET Command (capitalized to distinguish it from the fictional Starfleet Command of the Star Trek Universe ) that traces it's existence to the ''USS Enterprise'' Fan Club started by a group of friends in Lufkin , Texas in 1974 . In 1983 , due to a lack of communication between leadership, STARFLEET Command was taken over by Eric A. Stillwell and changed it's name to just STARFLEET (See STARFLEET International ). However a year later STARFLEET Command President and Chief of Staff, John Wetsch, citing later that the club was never legally turned over to Stillwell, reclamed the leadership (as unbroken) and re-established STARFLEET Command. This is the fan association that continues today.

There have been seven (7) known presidents of STARFLEET Command with the first four shared by STARFLEET International as their first four presidents are:

John Bradbury (1974-1977)

Adeline Longshaw (1977-1981)

Brandt Heatherington (1981) (Interim)

John Wetsch (1981-1987)

Dan Dailey (1987-1994)

Presidency Undetermined (1994-1997)

Paul Sunstrom (1997-2002)

Mark Bischoff (2002-Present)

STARFLEET Command's headquarters is located in Indiana .
