Shikotsu-Toya National Park (支笏洞爺国立公園 ''Shikotsu-toya-kokuritsukōen'') is a national park in the central part of the island of Hokkaido , Japan . The park is named after the volcanic caldera lakes of Lake Shikotsu and Lake Toya . The popular hot spring resort of Noboribetsu is also within the park. It became a national park on May 16 , 1949 . It has an area of 993.02 square kilometers.

It can be divided into roughly five areas.
