Rodolfo Herrera assasinated Venustiano Carranza , when Carranza attempted to flee Mexico City . Carranza had attempted to make his way to Veracruz , but was intercepted in Tlaxcalantongo in the Sierra Norte of Puebla state by supporters of his former allies, and was there assasinated by Herrera. |
