"Rock with You" was a successful Single released by singer Michael Jackson in late 1979 . The original title was "I Want To Eat You Up," but it was quickly changed to fit Jackson's image.

"Rock with You" was released as the second single from Jackson's fifth solo LP and breakthrough Album , '' Off The Wall ''. The song, written by Heatwave group member and songwriter Rod Temperton , helped Jackson score one of the first Billboard number-one singles in the 1980s , as well as one of the last hit songs of the Disco era. A video for the song showed a smiling Jackson lip-synching to the video in a sequined suit against a background of multi-colored strobe lights. The song reached number one on both the Pop and R&B singles chart and became one of Jackson's most-loved songs.

The song was later covered by singer Brandy in 1995 for Quincy Jones ' album, ''Q's Jook Joint'', while the intro beat to the song was sampled in Puff Daddy and Mase 's single "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down".

On February 27, 2006, "Rock with you" was re-released as a single as part of the Visionary - The video singles. It reached #15 in the UK Singles Chart on March 2006
