The North Dakota Fighting Sioux football team of the University Of North Dakota is a member of the NCAA Divsion II North Central Conference . The Sioux and longtime rival North Dakota State Bison used to played for the Nickle Trophy each year until 2003 when the Bison moved to Division I-AA.
