Lindi is both a seaside town (2003 pop. 69,000) and a surrounding Region of southeastern Tanzania . The town is located at the mouth of the Lukuledi River , but its port facilities are almost nonexistent. The surrounding region is the most sparsely populated in Tanzania. |
