If one travels the Pacific Coast Highway to get to Leo Carillo State Beach, it appears less exceptional, and is quite easily ignored. However, this beach is the only one with a sea cave on the entire Santa Monica Mountain Range . The park was named for the California actor, Leo Carrillo ( 1880 - 1961 ), who served on the State Parks commission.
