This is a remake of the Chile an production of the same name of 1981 (which was originally written and directed by Arturo Moya Grau). Two other productions were made as '' Vivir Un Poco '' (1985) with Angélica Aragón and '' Para Toda La Vida '' (1996) with Ofelia Medina in the starring roles.

The show got attention in the United States via E! 's The Soup which would have weekly recaps of the show and clips of its more outrageous moments. Host Joel McHale would often get excited talking about it, at one point stating "I can think of fourteen network shows I understand that aren't this good!"


PLOT


A mother who is falsely accused of murdering another woman and put in prison for 20 years. She returns to find that her children have been led to believe that their real mother was the murdered woman, and she the murderess. Despite this, she remarries her old husband, and is now "posing" as the stepmother and trying to find the real killer of the woman, while trying to win the love of her "stepchildren".
