The journey will take over twelve years to complete, and will cover over 36,000 Miles. It will test one man's ability to go it alone and walk around the world, in one non-stop journey. It is under way now. He set off from Punta Arenas , Chile , on November 1 , 1998 , and has completed over 17000 miles (as of April 2006). With over 19000 more miles to walk, maintaining his current speed, he should return home to Hull , England in 2009 . Karl has already walked through South and Central and North America.
