Ho, so different from the capital of Accra, seems like a village that has sprawled into the city. While in central parts the roads are paved, those roads outside are not. Ho is home to three hospitals, including the Volta Regional Hospital, completed in 2000 with a loan from the British Government. There are also numerous clinics available in the city. The people in Ho are incredibly kind, and very open to travelers and strangers. The crime rate is low. Ho is also home to two internet cafes. The connections are sometimes a bit shaky. There are numerous churches, include a Catholic cathedral located in the center of town.
