A grant is money given to an individual or an organization that does not hold an obligation of repayment. In that respect, it differs from a Loan , and does not incur any Debt or interest. Grants can be given out by Foundations and governments. Grants to individuals can be either Scholarship s or Donation s to Non-profit Organization s. Other grants include intergovernmental grants which are used to correct fiscal imbalances between different levels of government. Many federations use these grants to correct imbalances between taxing and spending across different levels of government. Examples include the US, Australia and Kenya. NORTHERN AND CENTRAL AMERICAL USA Government Grants Most often, grants are issued by the Government to those in need, such as families with low Income or students attending Post-secondary Education Institution s. In certain cases, a part of a government Loan is issued as a grant, particularly pertaining to promising students seeking financial support for continuing their educations. Billions of dollars in Financial Aid are currently available from thousands of foundations and government programs all over the United States. They are specifically targeted for future business owners, new business owners and existing businesses. Small business grants can help open small businesses and expand current businesses. EUROPE (EU) Denmark SU SU is the States Educationsupport (Statens Uddannelsesstøtte) and is available to all students, including students as young as 16 years of age. This is available to all age groups currently under courses. There are two systems of SU.
Available to all students in pre-college educations.
Available to all students in post-secondary or higher educations. This system is a clip card grant good for 5 years and 10 months. |
