Frederick Carr, Ph.D. is currently the McCasland Foundation Presidential Professor of Meteorology and the Director of the School of Meterology at the University Of Oklahoma .


EDUCATION

CAREER HISTORY

From 1975 to 1979, Carr was a research scientist at the University At Albany, The State University Of New York . Carr began his work in the area of Tropical and Monsoon meteorology; in 1979 he flew into tropical cyclones as a co-investigator in the MONEX field experiment. He later moved to the University Of Oklahoma and was subsequently chosen as the director of the School of Meteorology, a position which he has held since 1996.
