Earth (band)

Earth are a US Drone Metal band formed in 1990 in Olympia, Washington by Dylan Carlson, Slim Moon and Greg Babior. They are pioneers in the Minimalistic , long and repetitive form of Doom Metal known as Drone Metal . The band at some point moved to Seattle where they met with Grunge Music icon Kurt Cobain who sang lead vocals in the song "Divine and Bright" from a demo included on the re-release of the live album ''Sunn Amps and Smashed Guitars''. Dylan Carlson has been the driving force of the band and still remains the core of an everchanging line-up.
