The title was created several times in the past - in the Peerage Of England in 1679 , becoming extinct in 1732 , and again in the Peerage Of Great Britain in 1740 , being this time created for the mistress of King George II . This title became extinct upon the countess's death in 1765 . The Earls of Yarmouth of the 1679 creation held the subsidiary titles of ''Viscount Yarmouth'' and ''Baron Paston'' (both 1673 ) in the Peerage of England.
