The primary emphasis of Chalcedonian christology is the full humanity and full divinity of Jesus (see Hypostatic Union ), the second person of the Holy Trinity . Oriental Orthodoxy viewed this as equating them with Nestorianism (due to the acceptance of two ''physes''), creating a Schism . The Chalcedonian churches, which accept this council, include the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches, as well as most Protestant churches. SEE ALSO |
