PLOT


The three-dimensional character in Julia. The story begins with her birth into a world where war with Egypt is certain. She is a rebellious little girl who is wilful, passionate but with a gentleness and compassion for the people of Rome. Dearly beloved by nearly everyone she meets except her stepmother, Livia . Loyal to her father, but not afraid to criticize his decisions. Julia grows up among intrigue and ultimately becomes its victim. Despite her tragic fate, Julia remains very cheerful and kind nonetheless.

The novel's Bittersweet ending is considered both satisfying and agreeable.
