Blantyre is the largest city in Malawi and the capital of the country's Southern Region as well as the Blantyre District . Blantyre had a population of 646,235 in 2003 . The city has at least one television station (''see'' List Of TV Stations ). The Presidential Palace – the Sanjika Palace – is also located there, as well as the Supreme Court . Blantyre is named after the Scottish town of Blantyre where the explorer David Livingstone was born. MAPS : |
