They are soft-hearted people. Many are farmers by nature but some are also fishermen. There are many Banjar people living in Saudi Arabia as well, following continuous emigration over the last few hundred years. They are considered to be very devout Muslim s. They have never conquered any country. They have a few different tribes with slightly different dialects. The Banjar people from Malaysia still maintain their communication with their relatives in the Banjarmasin mainland. There are many visits organised every year from institutions from Malaysia to visit Banjarmasin to strengthen their family ties. |
