Amie




AMIE stands for Associate Member of Institution Of Engineers ( India ).
This is a Professional Membership Examination conducted by Institution of Engineers. The examination is divided into two sections, namely, Section A and Section B. After passing both section A and B, one will become an Associate of the Institution of Engineers (AIE). This is recognized equivalent to a graduation degree in Engineering by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. After five years if he/she has enough professional experience, then they will become an Associate Member (AMIE). By becoming an AMIE, he/she is considered a chartered engineer.


RECOGNITION

The Government Of India Ministry of Education and Social Welfare (Dept. of Education) has recognized AMIE as an engineering degree through its order No. F. 18-4/78-T.7. Dated 16th August, 1978. This course is state governments and union territories, as well as by almost all the countries of the world including USA , UK , European and South Asian countries.

Completing AMIE is considered as equivalent to BE/BTech for jobs as well as higher studies.These graduates are capable of facing all kind of technical competitive examination because of the way of learning is excellent.


Higher Studies

AMIE have two sections 1.SectionA 2.SectionB

After completing section A eligible write GATE(Graduate Attitude Test for Engineers) examination
GATE score valid only for two years
If you cannot finish section B within two years you need to write GATE once again
if you get good score in GATE you can do M.Tech in IIT or NIT,s
few universities taking for M.Tech without considering GATE, butyou may need to pay more.
