The A44 is a major road in the United Kingdom . It runs from Oxford in England to Aberystwyth , in west Wales . From Oxford, the road runs north-west via Woodstock , Chipping Norton , then bypasses Evesham and Worcester before heading through Bromyard , Leominster and Kington . Arriving in Wales, it heads through the Cambrian Mountains before reaching the coast at Aberystwyth.
