Vorador had the distinct honor of being the first human in Nosgoth to whom the dark gift of vampirism was passed. Undoubtedly, this was done as thanks for the great service Vorador had already paid the vampires. While he was still human, Vorador crafted a mighty sword at the behest of the vampires, the blood-devouring Reaver. This sword later, after the infusion of Raziel's soul-devouring spirit, became the Soul Reaver . Another of Vorador's infamous exploits came 500 years before the first game took place. In response to the murder of Janos Audron at the hands of the Sarafan , Vorador stormed the Sarafan Stronghold where he found, and slaughtered, six members of the Circle of Nine. Before his departure, he defeated Malek , leading to the Sarafan's inhuman punishment. In later centuries, Vorador would give guidance to the young Kain (and a time-traveling Raziel ), even coming to the young Kain's aid and finally killing Malek. The end of Vorador's story, was not very glamorous. The vampire hunting mob, led by Moebius , captured Vorador and executed him by means of decapitation. In the game Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2, Vorador inexplicably appears 400 years after his execution at the hands of Moebius's mob. Originally, according to Amy Henning (writer and leader of the Crystal Dynamics team which created the Soul Reaver games and Legacy of Kain: Defiance), Defiance would explain this, but due to time constraints this plot point was removed.
