Information About

Visorak

Visorak (or in their tongue, "the stealers of life") are spiderlike beings who have invaded Metru Nui in the LEGO Bionicle Storyline of 2005. They have four legs, bright, cunning eyes, and the ability to shoot Rhotuka spinners. All Visorak Rhotuka spinners have the default paralysis power as well as special Rhotuka spinner power. Their venom also mutates Toa into half-rahi and mutates Rahi severely. The Visorak are led by the Visorak King, Sidorak , and his Viceroy, Roodaka . They were given control of the Visorak by Makuta , who is a major villain in the Bionicle universe. The mission of the Visorak is to invade islands, webbing up its inhabitants as they go along. For what purpose is unknown. Metru Nui was the last place the Visorak had to invade (other than the Dark Hunters ' island, Mata Nui and Voya Nui ). The Visorak were created by the Brotherhood of Makuta.

The Visorak make up most of the Brotherhood Of Makuta 's army. However, Keetongu the healer is quite powerful against the Visorak, but is not considered their greatest enemy, because the hordes don't believe he exists. Near the end of Web of Shadows, Vakama tells them to "Get out of here! All of you. You're freed. That's an order."

VISORAK BREEDS

Vohtarak are red Visorak with green eyes, and are strong followers of Sidorak . They are incredibly aggressive, preferring to wildly charge and launch Rhotuka spinners. While they are unable to control fire, they have a natural resistance to heat and have spinners capable of causing a great burning pain in their victims; so powerful that the victims are unable to concentrate on anything else. The Vohtarak are also able to have "berserker charges" during which their outer shells become almost impervious to harm.

Boggarak are blue Visorak with orange eyes, and are the strongest followers of Roodaka . The Boggarak are best at hunting aquatic Rahi , and can "skate" across the surface of water. They are the fastest of the Visorak, and have a great variety of powers. Above water, their Rhotuka spinners dehydrate their target, reducing it to dust. Under water, their spinners cause the target to inflate and float to the surface. The Boggarak also create sonic hums, which they use to transmute solid matter into gas, stone, etc. Due to their loyalty, Roodaka has a personal guard made up of Boggarak.

Oohnorak are black Visorak with yellow eyes and yellow/orange legs, and aren't known for being leaders. Instead, they are followers, always willing to obey, and be abused (When a mechanical Visorak battle ram isn't on the scene, Oohnorak have been known to be used instead). Oohnorak, however, aren't stupid. While their Rhotuka power isn't very aggressive, having the power to numb a foe so they can't escape, they also have the powers of mimicry and limited telepathy: Oohnorak can telepathically read the mind of a target, then mimic the voice of their target's companion, luring them into a trap.

Roporak are brown Visorak with blue eyes and red legs, though they are able to change colors and camouflage into their background. They prefer to work underground, but are often positioned at high points, blending in with their backgrounds to spy on others. Roporak use this power to wait until their foe has been weakened, then they intercept, spitting webbing and firing their disrupting Rhotuka , which causes a form of "power outage" in their targets. Roporak can fire their spinners the furthest of all the Visorak breeds. It seems that Roporak prefer Roodaka over Sidorak , as they think she will help them rebel.

Keelerak are green Visorak with red eyes. They are incredibly unpredictable, fighting one moment, disappearing the next. Keelerak have incredibly powerful Rhotuka , able to dissolve through almost anything with a powerful acid. Their feet are also razor sharp, and they are able to leap into the air and spin about, like gigantic buzzsaws. Keelerak once tried to rebel, and in return got hit by Sidorak 's obedience spinners.

Suukorak are white Visorak with light blue eyes and blue legs. They prefer cool areas with thin air, thus the higher ruins of Metru Nui, as well as the ruined Ko-Metru. They are masters in planning, knowing when they should attack or retreat. Suukorak produce a powerful Rhotuka that creates an electrical cage around their target, which shrinks each time the target moves. They have a natural resistance to cold, and can also slow down their life processes to almost nothing, making them extremely hard to detect.

KAHGARAK

The Kahgarak are the elites of the Visorak army, they are gold with red eyes and blue legs (and also have Suukorak pincers). They often lead smaller Kahgarak units on hunts, as well as serving as guards for the Coliseum and other important sites. Kahgarak spinners can cloak an opponent in a field of shadow which will move with them wherever they go. While the target can survive in the dark field, they cannot see or hear anything beyond it, nor are they able to communicate with anyone outside it. To an outsider, it appears as if the Kahgarak's enemy has simply been swallowed by the shadows and disappeared. These shadow Rhotuka are also used to summon Zivon , an immense Rahi , whom the Visorak uses to defeat more frustrating enemies.

NOTES

  • Visorak can communicate by vibrating on their webs.

  • When Visorak travel from island to island, they bring Colony Drones with them, because the Visorak depend on them for energy the Colony Drones give off from their Rhotuka .

  • Visorak do not smell good, especially when stuck together for a certain amount of time.

  • The Visorak were originally part of a Brotherhood Of Makuta army that also consisted of Exo-Toa and Dark Hunters .

  • The Visorak have been affectionately termed "vissies" by fans.
