This is a list of all the The Charmed Ones family and friends that have recurring roles on the series Charmed . THE WARREN LINE OF WITCHES Charlotte Warren Born - Unknown (Many fans have speculated the year 1644, however, this date was never confirmed in the television, novel or magazine series) Died - Unknown Relationship: Mother of Melinda Warren. Great (x7) grandmother of the Charmed Ones. Marital Status: Unknown Powers: None that are known of. Biography: Charlotte belonged to a small coven of witches, in the Colony And Dominion Of Virginia , who utilised the magic of herbs and practised traditional paganism. During her pregnancy, it was foreseen that Charlotte would give birth to a very magical baby. Not only did her coven know this, but also did an evil witch named Ruth Cobb. In an attempt to harness the magic of the baby by raising it evil, Ruth kidnapped Charlotte while she was in labour. Fortunately, the elders sent the Charmed Ones (Prudence, Piper and Phoebe) back in time and they, subsequently, freed Charlotte and helped her give birth to a daughter, Melinda Warren. Great (x6) grandmother of the Charmed Ones. Marital Status: Unknown; Lover - Matthew Tate Powers: Telekinesis, Molecular Immobilization, Clairvoyance (including Premonitions). Biography: Melinda Warren was born on Halloween , 1670, to Charlotte, who vowed to inform her daughter of the Charmed Ones and how they saved their lives. During her life time Melinda married, and at the ceremony she used a wedding cup which, since then, has been passed through the Warren generations and used at other wedding ceremonies - including Piper Halliwell ’s. In the later part of her life, Melinda moved to Salem where she met her lover Matthew Tate. Melinda, also, had a daughter named Prudence, although whether she was born before or after Melinda’s move to Salem and who her father is, is unknown. As the witch trials began in Salem, Melinda worked closely with the might Marx line of witches (of whose descendents include Simon Theotus Reginald Marx, wanna-be husband of future Warren witch Paige Matthews). Unfortunately, Melinda later discovered that Matthew Tate was in reality a warlock who used her to copy her powers. Finally, Tate informed the town of Salem of Melinda’s witchcraft and, subsequently, she was burnt on the stake in March 1692. Melinda is most famous for creating the Book of Shadows. Marital Status: Married and widowed soon after birth of her daughter Cassandra Wentworth ; Married a man named Michael . Powers: Telekinesis and Clairvoyance (including Premonitions) . Biography: Prudence was the daughter of Melinda Warren (born in either Virginia or Salem). Prudence carried on the work of witchcraft and the Book of Shadows after the death of her mother, while being raised by a kind neighbour Elizabeth Hasting . As a young woman, Prudence married Michael Wentworth , after she questioned giving up her powers . The couple had a daughter named Cassandra (Warren ?) Wentworth in 1709 , however, a few years after her birth Michael died and Prudence became a widow . In 1714 , after an exposure as a witch, and an attempted drowning, Prudence and Cassandra moved to Boston, Massachusetts . References: |
