The UBC will allow these teams consistent scheduling during Janaury and February, when most teams are committed to their conference schedules. The possibility exists of the UBC becoming a formally recognized NCAA conference, but this is unlikely, as it would take 13 years for the conference to be automatically elligible for the NCAA tournament, and even that is not a certainty. The conference most likely will be a temporary home for these programs until they are invited to join an established conference. The UBC is expected to have awards and a championship, but not a post-season tournament. |
