Union Pacific 3985 or '''UP 3985''' is a 4-6-6-4 Steam Locomotive owned by Union Pacific Railroad . It is the largest operating steam locomotive in the world. It was originally retired and placed on display, but later a group of UP volunteers overhauled it and returned it to operable condition. It is now used for excursion trains.
