Hoping that the exiled Lindsay has information on the Senior Partners' ultimate plans, Angel, Spike and Gunn, with a little of Eve's help, track him down to a bizarre and terrifying suburban hell dimension and try to bring him back to Earth to interrogate him on what he knows about the Senior Partners and the upcoming apocalypse.
Back on Earth, a well-dressed, but deadly and nearly invincible stranger, named Marcus Hamilton whom was sent by the Senior Partners, infiltrates Wolfram & Hart looking for Eve for some unknown reason and he trashes the offices as well as Lorne and Harmony.
Meanwhile, a grief-stricken Wesley withdraws into drinking while trying to ‘domesticate’ the evil but confused Illyria to the ways of the new Earth.
