Urj Camp Harlam




URJ Camp Harlam, or Camp Joseph and Betty Harlam, is a Jewish Summer Camp operating in the Poconos foothills of Pennsylvania , under the jurisdiction of the Union For Reform Judaism . Named after the Camp's initial primary benefactors, it opened in 1958. The camp now has over 400 acres (1.6 km²) which, according to their website, can hold 550 campers and 200 staff each session.

Camp Harlam has an active alumni group, and has an alumni reunion day each summer at the camp.


COMMUNITIES

The Camp Harlam Family consists of smaller communities within junior camp, senior camp, and the CIT program. Junior and senior camps are further broken down into coed units based on the age and grade to create a more intimate and age-appropriate experience for our campers. {Link without Title}

::At this point (11th grade), the camper has the opportunity to go to Israel as a smaller Harlam-specific group on the NFTY in Israel trip.
