unTV Channel 37 is a UHF Television Channel in the Philippines operated by the Progressive Broadcasting Corporation, the same company that operates the NU 107 network of FM stations.

HISTORY

In 1987 , an unknown radio station started broadcasting at the frequency of 107.5 on the FM Band . Playing what was then known as New Wave , the station aired for a month, no call letters, no jocks. When they finally announced "This is dwNU, if you're listening, please call"... the phone rang constantly for three hours.

Owned and operated by the Progressive Broadcasting Corporation, DWNU 107.5FM was the brainchild of banker/businessman Atom L. Henares, and radio veteran Mike N. Pedero. Born out of the need to come up with a product that would set the standard for good taste in music amongst the youths, NU 107 blasted the airwaves with rock, music that is "dynamic, young, passionate, creative, and always ready to renew itself." UNTV Studios are located at Ground flr., AIC Gold Tower, F. Ortigas Jr. Road (Formerly Emerald Ave.) cor. Garnet Road, Ortigas Cenbter, Pasig City and trasmitter located at Crestview Heights Subdivision, Brgy. San Roque, San Lorenzo Ruiz St., Antipolo City.

The Philippine Congress , composed of the Senate and the House of Representatives awarded the UHF TV frequency of Channel 37 to PBC and unTV started operating in 2002 famous for its offbeat programs like ''Strangebrew'' & ''in the raw''.

On 2004 , Ang Dating Daan later bought the block time from dwNU. It introduced new programs and discarded the old programs. For a while, '' Strangebrew '' and ''In The Raw'' where shown on NBN 4 .

It later became notorious when an exchange of doctrines erupted with the Ang Tamang Daan of the Iglesia Ni Cristo . It exposed a police rubout on November 7, 2005 when it became the only media company to cover a police rubout incident right in front of its broadcast building. UNTV's footage became a vital evidence for a case filed on the Philippines' Commission On Human Rights .
