U.s. Senate Committee On Irrigation And Reclamation




Its roots go back to the U.S. Senate Committee On Public Lands , created in 1816 . This committee was renamed the U.S. Senate Committee On Public Lands And Surveys in 1921 , and then, upon merger with the Committee On Indian Affairs , the Committee On Territorial And Insular Affairs , the Committee On Mines And Mining , and the Committee On Irrigation And Reclamation in 1946 , became the U.S. Senate Committee On Interior And Insular Affairs . In 1977 , it became the Committee On Energy And Natural Resources , and Indian Affairs were removed from its jurisdiction into its own committee.
