The Tweeter Center at the Waterfront is an outdoor Amphitheater / indoor theater complex located in Camden, New Jersey on the Delaware River waterfront, across from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania . Opened in June 1995 , The Tweeter Center of Philadelphia and South Jersey Region represents a revolution in amphitheater technology. The first-of-its-kind year-round facility serves as a 25,000 capacity outdoor amphitheater during the summer months which features a huge lawn with giant video screens, state-of-the-art computerized sound enhancement, and spectacular views of the Philadelphia skyline and the Ben Franklin Bridge to the West and North. In the fall and winter, the Tweeter Center converts to a fully enclosed, climate controlled, flexible capacity theatre for 1,600-7,000 guests offering a variety of concerts, Broadway theatrical productions and family entertainment. The Tweeter Center sits adjacent to the New Jersey State Aquarium on 14 acres along the Delaware River and is convenient to mass transportation. Parking is in well-lit fenced and gated parking lots adjacent to the facility. The Tweeter Center is named for Tweeter, a specialty audio / video retailer with 200 stores nationwide.
