The IRA ended the cessation with a massive, and murderous, bomb at London's Canary Wharf in 1996. In 1997 , following the election of Tony Blair as British Prime Minister and Bertie Ahern as Irish Taoiseach the IRA began a new and, so far, lasting ceasefire. |
