In the 1980s Southgate was previously a member of the National Front , and in the 1990s the International Third Position (ITP). He split from the ITP and in September 1992 founded the English Nationalist Movement (ENM). In 1998 he and other ENM members founded National Revolutionary Faction , which he describes as "a hardline revolutionary organisation based on an underground cell-structure similar to that used by both the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the IRA", operating on the principle of Leaderless Resistance . {Link without Title} It is unclear when the NRF was disbanded. Southgate and other NRF associates have since been involved in the for two issues.
