BIOGRAPHY Tony was born on 13 December 1968 in Glasgow , Scotland , United Kingdom . He is a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy Of Music And Drama . He stands 6 feet, 2½ inches (1.89 m) tall and has red hair and blue eyes. Little is known of his personal life. He is close friends with Jason Flemyng , who co-starred with him in the 2003 production '' The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen '', and the two redheads have participated in marathons together to raise money for charity. He is a frequent and popular participant in the annual Dressed To Kilt event in New York City , run by the organization Friends Of Scotland in celebration of Tartan Week . He does a very humorous impression of his friend, co-star, and fellow Scotsman Sean Connery . Tony is a dedicated actor and there seems to be almost no part he will not accept in the interest of furthering his art. In the BBC television series '' This Life '', he played a homosexual plumber and had onscreen love scenes with another man. To play the invisible man in LXG , he donned a special suit that turned him into a walking Bluescreen (according to his commentary on the DVD, he looked like a " Smurf on Acid ").
