is a municipality in the county of Telemark,
Norway . It came to be after the merger of the two older municipalites Laardal and Mo, which was put into effect as of Jan.1.1964, after the "ravages of the Schei Committee".
In the village of Eidsborg one finds one of Norway's old stave churches.
