CRITICISM It has been argued that (in light of what is currently known) the episode concerning the trial of Special Agent Frakie Ellroy-Kilmer makes light of the victims of torture practices employed by the United States. The notion that all suspects are guilty and provide useful information, and that United States sanctioned torture is merely limited to loud music and bad food might however have been what the script writers, producers and director believed. It is likely they were working shorty before the 2003 Abu Ghraib Torture And Prisoner Abuse scandal. However, there were accusations about mistreatment well before this point. But their lack of knowledge might be plausible if they only believed (or watched) American media and if said American media didn't investigate for themselves and just believed what the government told them. This "bleating ignorant sheep following lapdogs following liars" theory however assumes a massive breakdown in the American system of government, accountability and the media which is certainly a contentious proposition to Americans.
