(置地廣場) is an office and shopping development owned by
Hong Kong Land in
Central, Hong Kong . It is partly built on the site of the former
Gloucester Hotel , which was in its day the most famous hotel on
Hong Kong Island . The development consists of a series of levels of shops surrounding a large central
Atrium with two office towers on top, known as ''Edinburgh Tower'' and ''Gloucester Tower'' respectively. ''Edinburgh Tower'' is at present being converted into a
Boutique Hotel by
Hongkong Land ( which together with the
Mandarin Oriental hotel group, are controlled by
Jardines ). The development is connected directly into the
Central MTR Station .
