"The Future" is a song by Prince from his Soundtrack to the 1989 Film , '' Batman ''. The song was remixed by William Orbit and released as a single in the UK , backed with another '' Batman '' track remixed by Orbit, '''"Electric Chair"'''. Both 12-inch remixes add little to the originals, although "The Future" becomes more of a House -record than a ''Batman'' tune. Unfortunately, neither the pop charts or the dancefloors reacted well to the remixes, and the single failed to chart. This would be the last time producer William Orbit worked with Prince for several years. |
