The Baker's Dozen is an a capella group at Yale University . HISTORY Originally founded in the summer of 1947 by a group of eight undergraduates from Yale University , and a ninth from Harvard , the Baker's Dozen is among the leading collegiate a cappella groups in the United States. The members, known as the "BDs", are renowned for a diverse and evolving repertoire, musical excellence, and a strong sense of camaraderie. The leadership of the group keep a residence in New Haven near Yale's campus at 235 Dwight Street.
