The Altar Boys helped pioneer Christian rock music. They were one of the first brands to break the mold of the traditional, Christian music of the 70s and early 80s. Their sound was heavily influence by the Punk Rock scene in Southern California .

  • Mike Stand and Jeff Crandall are cousins.

  • The Altar Boys are not the same as the Altar Boyz , a fictional band from an Off-Broadway show of the same name.
