TRIVIA Teter and McDonald performed on the night of the fire that killed 165 people at the Beverly Hills Supper Club on May 28 , 1977 , in Kentucky . A busboy grabbed one of their microphones on the stage and announced that there was "a small fire on the other side of the building." The nervous audience began to evacuate the club and Teter and McDonald helped to prevent panic by suggesting that the show would continue once the fire was extinguished. Minutes later, a fireball erupted into the showroom. |
