Chaozhou (潮州), a Prefecture-level City in northeastern Guangdong Province , China .

Teochew (dialect) , the Dialect spoken in the Chaozhou (Teochew) and the Chaoshan region by the Teochiu people.

Alternate spellings also include '' Diojiu '', '' Tiuchiu '', '' Chiuchow '', and ''Dio7 Ziu1'' (the Romanization standard of Shantou University ).
