Information About

Teifi Valley Railway

The Teifi Valley Railway was created from a branch line of the Great Western Railway, which served the West Wales rural area .

Come and join us as we take a 2 mile journey which offers the visitor a splendid view of the beautiful Teifi Valley and a nostalgic reminder of the history of steam.

As you journey through the lovely countryside, you will notice unspoilt woodland on either side of the tracks, pass ancient stone workings, over a long forgotten drovers trail and along the banks of the River Teifi to Llandyfriog and the end of the line.

Disembark from the train and watch the train crew as they uncouple the engine and move it to the front of the train for your return journey. Don't forget to get back on board before the guard gives the " right of way whistle " and the train leaves without you.

On your return journey there is a short 15 - 20 minute stop at " Pontprenshitw " where you can disembark for the short walk to the Gorge, Waterfalls and the Celtic leet.

Back on board for the final section of your journey to the Station Yard at Henllan. Where you can get a refreshing cup of tea and a sandwich in the tea room or use the other facilities.

The Teifi Valley Railway caters for the disabled. Large parties and Coaches are welcome, however pre booking is advisable in the peak season
