The Teen Idles were a Hardcore Punk band that existed only for about fourteen months. Jeff Nelson and Ian MacKaye formed the band as well as Dischord Records , revolutionizing the Washington DC music scene and setting the stage for the formation of Minor Threat and the inadvertent development of the Straight Edge movement.
