Task Manager

A task manager is a Program used to provide information about the Processes and programs running on a Computer , as well as the general status of the computer. It can also be used to terminate processes and programs, as well as change the processes' Priority .

TASK MANAGER IN WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM

In Windows Operating System s, the task manager is a program named "Windows Task Manager" (taskmgr.exe), or, in older versions of Windows, "Tasks" (taskman.exe). As new versions of the Windows Operating System are released, they tend to bring with them a more advanced task manager, however, these versions sometimes have drawbacks. An example would be processor drain of the Windows 2000 / Windows XP task manager; which, while slight, can sometimes bar it from opening in the event a process runs out of control.
A popular way to open the Windows task manager is by the button combination Control-Alt-Delete .
