TANGERINE RECORDS (1963–1973) Tangerine Records was a record label owned by Ray Charles between 1963 and 1973 During that time he was under contract to ABC-Paramount Records and used them as distributors for Tangerine. In 1973 Charles left ABC and he closed Tangerine and started Crossover records.
