Tamaraikulampathi is the place where Hari Gopalan Citar composed the holy book of Ayyavazhi, Akilattirattu Ammanai . In remembrance to that even today during the Thiru Edu-Vasippu in Swamithoppe , the Moolatthiru Edu is read in Tamaraikulampathi for seven days and brought to Swamithoppepathi and read for seventeen days, and after the completion again taken to Tamaraikulampathi for a further ten days of reading.
