Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Limited ( Foundry , with its headquarters and main operations located in the Hsinchu Science Park in Hsinchu , Taiwan . Founded in 1987 at the Industrial Technology Research Institute , its Market Capitalization as of 24/01/2006 is US$49.23Billion. The company is listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange and on the New York Stock Exchange under the trading symbol of TSM. The Chairman and until recently CEO is Dr. Morris Chang . The CEO since 2005 is Rick Tsai . Philips holds a 19.1% stake in TSMC. Although TSMC offers a variety of wafer product-lines (high-voltage, mixed-signal, analog), TSMC is best known for its logic product-line. Various Fabless high-tech companies such as ATI , Broadcom , Marvell , NVidia , and VIA are customers of TSMC. At least one semiconductor company, LSI Logic , re-sells TSMC wafers through its ASIC design services and design IP-portfolio. FACILITIES
